Tax Administration collected nearly EUR 569.36mn of taxes, contributions and duties in the first ten months this year which is 30% more than the same period last year. The overall gross amount collected in first ten months last year was EUR 451.3mn after nearly EUR 5.6mn of payroll taxes and 4.6mn of VAT for 2005 were returned. The gross total of collected taxes in first 10 months this year was EUR 263.5mn or nearly 40% more than in the same period last year, reported Montenegro Tax Administration.

Sales taxes were almost three times higher, personal income taxes increased by 12.8%, insurance premium taxes by 36% and VAT rose by 23%. Collected fines and arrears decreased by 18 and 30%, while concessions were increased by 47%. Nearly EUR 29.7mn of corporate income taxes were collected which is 2.5 times more than in the same period last year. Contributions collected this year amounted to EUR 234.8mn or 20% more. Collected duties were 23% higher than last year and amounted to EUR 71mn.
